Komodo Island is an island located in the Nusa Tenggara archipelago, east of Sumbawa Island, separated by the Sape Strait. Komodo Island is known as the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon. This island is one of the Komodo National Park areas which is managed by the central government. Komodo Island is an amazing destination for nature and animal fans. There are also around 100 Komodo dragons in the Wae Wuul Nature Reserve on the mainland of Flores Island but not included in the Komodo National Park area.

They have a large and strong body, reaching a length of 3 meters and weighing up to 70 kilograms. Komodo Dragon cover their skin with hard, concave scales, providing good protection from predators.
